About Me

I'm passionate about supporting individuals and families as they prepare to welcome a child into their lives, whether it’s their first baby or they’re adding to their growing family.

With a background in Public Health and certification as a Health and Wellness Coach, I have a deep understanding of health foundations and working one-on-one with others. My experience as a project manager in obstetrics and diversity, equity, and inclusion strengthened my commitment to maternal health and the importance of individualized, equitable care. This unique blend of expertise shapes my approach as a doula, ensuring every individual and family receives personalized, compassionate support.

My philosophy centers on compassionate birth and postpartum care—a holistic approach that nurtures the emotional, physical, and psychological wellbeing of the birthing person. Grounded in respect, empathy, and informed choice, I strive to provide individualized support throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period to help create a positive, empowering experience.

This work has been close to my heart since I became an aunt over a decade ago (those are my nieces and nephews in the picture!). Seeing firsthand how compassionate support can shape the pregnancy and postpartum experience deepened my passion for working in this field. Now, as a trained Birth and Postpartum Doula, I am honored to walk alongside individuals and families as they navigate this transformative time with confidence, care, and support.

For fun, I practice yoga, play and coach lacrosse, spend time outdoors, and love hosting friends for movie nights, sports games (go Lions!), and meaningful conversations. My spirituality is an important part of my life, grounding me in both my personal and professional work. I also volunteer as a public health officer with the Michigan Medical Reserve Corps and with Peace Love Paws Rescue, where I foster dogs and serve as an adoption counselor—let me know if you're looking to add a furry friend to your growing family!

A Note on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

I am committed to providing inclusive, culturally competent care that honors the diverse backgrounds, identities, and experiences of everyone I support. Pregnancy, birth, and postpartum care should be accessible, respectful, and affirming for all, regardless of race, gender identity, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, family structure, or ability. I actively work to create a safe, judgment-free space where every person feels heard, valued, and empowered to make the best choices for themselves and their family.

I also recognize that my work takes place on the ancestral lands of the Peoria, Mississauga, Bodwéwadmi (Potawatomi), Anishinabewaki, and Wyandot peoples. I honor their enduring presence, culture, and contributions to this land, and I am committed to ongoing learning, acknowledgment, and support of Indigenous birth and reproductive justice efforts in the Detroit community.
